Geraldine Nah
Counsellor-in-Training, Ambassador of Tabby's Doodles, Artist, Storyteller and Former Advertising and Marketing Director
Geraldine, affectionately known as Gerry, dedicated 24 years to Marketing Communications, rising to Advertising and Marketing Director. However, in 2014, she made a pivotal decision to take a sabbatical from the corporate world. During her hiatus, Gerry immersed herself in volunteer work for troubled or abused women and girls in need of healing and reconciliation, offering them companionship and a sanctuary of understanding and solace.
Gerry has extensive experience contributing to retreats. From 2011 to 2020, Gerry harnessed the power of music to guide participants into deeper retreat experiences. Additionally, she served as a supportive companion to retreatants, journeying with them and providing an empathetic listening presence.
In 2018, Gerry embarked on a personal retreat that altered the trajectory of her life. Gerry chose not to return to the corporate world. It was during this time that she discovered her dormant talent for art, a skill she had not explored since her school days. You can find her work on www.instagram.com/tabbys_doodles.
In 2019, Gerry discovered a deep passion for connecting with others through meaningful conversations. This newfound interest, combined with her artistic talents, inspired her to pursue a Bachelor of Counselling. Having completed her undergraduate studies, Gerry is now advancing her skills by embarking on a Master’s in Counselling. Her most cherished experiences during her studies were the many hours spent with clients, learning from their stories and supporting their journeys.
Gerry is enthusiastic about specialising in loss and grief counselling, and aims to creatively integrate art into her therapeutic practice. She is particularly drawn to helping individuals at crossroads in life, those facing personal and emotional challenges, or anyone in need of a compassionate ear and therapeutic conversation.
Looking ahead, Gerry is eager to continue growing in her profession, guided by the lessons learned from her clients and her commitment to being a supportive presence in their lives.
